Getting your details onto online profile sites appropriate to your business is another great way to get your name and work out there, raise your profile and connect with potential customers, clients and other interesting and useful people.
Linking these profiles back to your own social media tools such as your website and/or blog, Facebook page and Twitter stream further increases your reach and your marketing capability. We know the tricks of the trade and would love to share them with you.
We have profiles on numerous sites and regularly get enquiries, contacts and potential work through this route so we know it works. As an example why not take a look at just one of our marketing profiles - we love Creative Boom and it was quick and easy to set up a profile on their site. We’ve then extended this marketing opportunity by linking our profile to our Facebook page with links back to Creative Boom’s Facebook page and used Twitter to tweet about our business and profile, again with reference to Creative Boom so as to get in front of their almost 17,000 followers.
If you’re extra proactive you can also add to the standard profile opportunities available - for example by seeking out possible interviews, guest blog posts and mutual link opportunities. We’ll be covering this in a future blog post but why not take a look at Holly’s interview for Creative Calderdale as an example.
If you fancy adding online profiles to your marketing and communications tools but aren’t sure where to start, which sites would be best for your business or simply don’t have the time to do it yourself, why not drop us a line at hollyandjan@gmail.com to see how we can help?
